Technical Purchaser

in Nieuw-Lekkerland/Heijningen (full time)

What are you going to do?

As a Techincal Purchaser, you are responsible for purchasing the necessary products and services to optimally run the various Business Units of Bayards. You aim for optimal price and quality conditions. You work in a small and close-knit team with great responsibility, independence, and room for your own input. You report to our Purchasing Manager.

In this position, you are (co)responsible for the following activities:

• You explore the supplier market, assess potential suppliers, and select the most optimal party to collaborate with;
• You follow the developments of your suppliers and goods/services to be purchased and take necessary actions where needed;
• You participate in various project teams to coordinate purchasing issues;
• You are responsible for requesting, assessing, and negotiating quotes to get delivery according to the best conditions;
• You maintain supplier management and jointly build a pool of reliable suppliers that safeguard the progress of the projects;
• You make proposals for optimizing the purchasing process.

What do we ask?
You can identify the question behind the question from internal stakeholders. You are a real sparring partner with a strong personality, capable of working independently and switching between various project teams in which cooperation is of great importance. With your self-starter mentality, drive, and pragmatic attitude, you can address a wide variety of purchasing issues. Furthermore, you are service-oriented and have a lot of technical knowledge and insight with which you can support the organization.

CV Must-haves

• Completed HBO Technical education, a completed NEVI education is a plus;
• Experience in a similar position (preferably in the technical sector);
• Experience within an international project organization;
• Good knowledge of and experience with MS Office and an ERP package (we work with Trimergo);
• Good command of the Dutch and English language, both orally and in writing.
