Maintenence and Inspections

Bristol Royal Infirmary

We completed an upgrade project at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, which included the installation of a new Deck Integrated FireFighting System (DIFFS) on the hospital's helipad. We also modernised the manual firefighting system as part of the upgrade. The new DIFFS system is fully automated, with just a single push of a button, the system is activated in the event of a fire on the helipad. This upgrade has significantly enhanced the safety and security of the hospital's operations, while also minimizing the risk of potential fire hazards.

Heerema, Aegir

On board this deepwater construction vessel, we comprehensively upgraded the helideck according to the CAP437 standards. The upgrade comprised a friction and painting overhaul and the installation of a state-of-the-art circle-H lighting system. To ensure compliance with the latest CAP437 friction levels, a thorough friction test was carried out after the completion of the upgrade. All maintenance activities were executed while the vessel was docked in Schiedam, the Netherlands."

Royal London Hospital

We upgraded the helipad at the Royal London Hospital to ensure it meets the safety standards outlined in CAP1264. These upgrades included updating the friction and paint scheme, replacing the safety netting, and performing a thorough inspection and friction test. It's important to note that Bayards UP has a comprehensive Maintenance & Inspection contract with the hospital, which covers all helipad-related updates, upgrades, replacements, and spare parts.

Saint Mary’s Hospital, Isle of Wight

Bluewater, Aoka Mizu

We recently completed a comprehensive CAP437 upgrade for this vessel's helideck, which included a thorough inspection, installation of a circle-H, new paint scheme, friction upgrade, and installation of new safety netting. We conducted a friction test to ensure that the new friction layer met the latest CAP437 friction standards. It's worth noting that all maintenance work was carried out while the vessel was docked in Dubai, UAE.

Dolphin Drilling, Blackford Dolphin

While the Blackford Dolphin was located in Flekkefjord, Norway, we conducted a friction test and updated the helideck's paint scheme. Subsequently, we performed another friction test to ensure that the new friction layer met the latest CAP437 friction standards. All maintenance activities were carried out on the platform during this period.

Bergmannsheil und Kinderklinik Buer GmbH, Gelsenkirchen

We have a multi-year inspection contract for this hospital, which includes a comprehensive inspection of all helipad components such as the firefighting system, lighting system, safety netting, paint scheme, and more. This ensures that all items are thoroughly inspected and maintained in accordance with ICAO standards, thereby ensuring that the helipad is fully compliant with the latest edition

Arkona

Bayards UP has recently completed upgrades to the handrailing of the offshore wind substation, utilizing their state-of-the-art modular aluminium handrailing that fully adheres to the latest AVV standards. Additionally, during their time on site, the UP team identified some necessary repairs to the firefighting system of the helideck. They promptly conducted the necessary repairs, ensuring that the helideck is fully compliant and operational both now and in the future.
