What will you do?

As a Systems Engineer, you are responsible for selecting, designing, and implementing technical systems within our customer projects. These include fire suppression systems, heating installations, heat tracing systems, lighting, and control systems. You act as the bridge between customer requirements, technical feasibility, and Bayards’ internal processes.

You will work independently within project teams and maintain close contact with internal departments, suppliers, and development partners. From concept to implementation, you will be involved in the full process and contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems and processes. Your responsibilities include:

Translating customer requirements into a technically sound systems plan (including P&IDs and Key-online diagrams).
Selecting systems that comply with international standards and specific project requirements.
Coordinating technical solutions with customers, suppliers, and project teams.
Managing the procurement of system components in collaboration with the purchasing department.
Monitoring the progress of your work within the project and reporting any bottlenecks.
Assessing and elaborating on technical issues and change requests.
Identifying and initiating improvements in processes and products.
Contributing to R&D activities, including drafting test plans for system certification.

What do you bring?

A completed MBO or HBO degree, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Proven experience with technical systems and engineering processes.
Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team, contributing actively to shared goals.
A creative and innovative approach to problem-solving, with a focus on efficiency and results.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities.
Proficiency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
Residence near Tholen and access to your own transportation.
